Riedel Kooling Medical Chiller. For modern MRI systems.

Modern medical technology saves lives. Yet high-tech devices, such as magnetic resonance imaging systems, only work reliably if they have safe, precise cooling. That is the only way to create MRI images with a resolution that allows an exact diagnosis.

The world's leading manufacturers of medical technology rely on innovative cooling systems from Riedel Kooling. Our areas of expertise include imaging diagnostics, laboratory, and analysis as well as medical storage of medicines, blood or other samples.

The high-end Medical Chiller (MC series) from Riedel Kooling are tailor-made for superconducting MRI systems. They cool their helium compressor, which cools down the system’s core to as low as minus 269 degrees.

There are four variants with refrigeration capacities from 49 to 70 kW. During development of this series, the focus was on extremely system stability operation and effective cooling within narrow tolerance limits. The developers at Riedel Kooling in Kulmbach also found it particularly important that the system was extremely reliable, and that cooling was within tight tolerance limits. For this reason, the selected components and the design principle were precisely adapted to meet the stringent requirements of continuous clinical operation. That’s how it generates refrigeration capacity reliably even under the most extreme climatic conditions.

No matter where you are planning to use a MC Chiller, the series will impress in every climate zone. The energy-efficient design can be used at outside temperatures ranging from polar -37 °C to tropical +55 °C. This is ensured by various factors, including the robust design and the perfectly compatible components sourced from best of its class suppliers.

And, for everyday clinical operations, it is particularly important that the system runs at a pleasant, low noise volume even in full-load operation. If the device is operated at sound-optimised partial load, the sound pressure level decreases significantly again. This is particularly significant when it is installed outside very close to treatment areas or hospital wards.

“We build long-life chiller based on our decades of experience. Our quality indicators speak for themselves. If a chiller is maintained regularly, then there will be no surprises for the customer. And if a component does wear out, our highly qualified service technicians and premium partners detect it before it fails. They are supported by our innovative digital remote maintenance solutions, which indicate well in advance when something is wrong.” explains Dominik Sandler from the Riedel Kooling Service team.

Riedel Kooling Service doesn't stop with the delivery and commissioning of a new product. With special maintenance packages, we ensure that every cooling system runs smoothly even after many years. And with a global service partner network we are particularly close to our international customers.

Christoph Mudra, Director Sales adds: “A special advantage for Riedel Kooling and our customers arises from the global presence of the Glen Dimplex Group. In addition to our plant in Kulmbach, we also have plants in Kalamazoo (USA) and Shenyang (China); three sites where we can develop and produce sustainable and innovative cooling solutions locally for our customers. This not only increases the global availability of our products and services, but also reduces the cost, time and logistics expenditure for our local customers.”

Over 10,000 customers from more than 30 different market segments already work with Riedel Kooling worldwide and are convinced of the quality. The spectrum ranges from resellers and end customers to large corporations – from laser machines to MRIs and 3D printers – from customer-specific individual projects and small series to large series with several 20,000 cooling solutions per year.

From January 24th to 27th, 2022 you will meet Riedel Kooling at Arab Health, the world's leading trade fair for health and medicine, at booth S1.K31, Saeed Hall S1 in the Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai / UAE.
